ABOUT //

For Concertina Electronics (Accordion) is a live video performance piece made for an original experimental sound piece by Charlie Kriedler which collages disparate video sources.

Originally intended as a backing track for a live musician playing the accordion, Kriedler’s track served as the basis for a video piece I composed and recorded live using Resolume Arena.

Much like how Kriedler’s piece employs sound collage to combine various audio sources, I searched through Archive.org for video sources that I ultimately collaged together using Resolume’s built-in layering and visual effects.

My goal was to create a adaptable visual companion piece to Kreidler’s song that could match the experimental, abrasive, and fast-paced soundscapes that he created when performed live.
